Should i even say who got to eat the snowpeas ?

As you can tell she eats everything this is a picture of her eating an avocado and it figures she eats snowpeas oh my gosh does she ever if i gave they amm to her it wouldn't be enough. I ofcourse forgot to take pictures of them before they were eaten (silly me)there wasn't even time, I did try to give some to Rosie pies momma and she promptly spit it out Rosie was very happy however and ate it !

 There was also a 1.5 oz harvest of lettuce wich was much loved in a salad and burger topping  which there is no picture of either as I was in too much of a hurry to snap it.

Mike loves me alot !

We went to a certain building supply store known as Home Depot tonight and as we were looking through the plants I saw the most gorgeous shade of bougainvillea, he didn't get it for me but he did get me another smaller bougainvillea plant in a different shade and a Eureka lemon tree. I've hit the jackpot with this man I'm never letting him away from my sight. When we were cleaning up the backyard and trying to get it into a more manageable size we unfortunately had to pull up an existing lemon tree that was way too close to the fence and he promised me he'd get me one to replace it, he keeps his promises.

how the plants grow

My snow peas are huge with some of their leaves being bigger than my hand

Mike put the stork in the garden figured it would scare away the little birds and it did (he's a genius)

The giant pumpkin seedling emerged quick in less than a weekMarigolds seem ready to bloom    

Zucchinni seems to be recovering from it's stunted growth it even put out some blooms but it seems too little to bear fruit yetmy tomatoes have put out a couple of blooms and they're starting to get lots more they have just about doubled in size since I planted them

planted some radishes and they're sooo cute most of the seeds came up even thought I thought they might not because the seeds weren't the freshest. I've also planted some bok choi and yardlong greenbeans which have sprouted nicely all of the beans sprouted but about 3 of the bok choi didn't although I could have sworn that in the beginning only one hadn't I distinctly remember there being 8 plants and not six.

and last but not least the corn is doing great (YAY!)it's not sickly looking anymore and has grown alot since i last took pictures of it although according to Mike they were going to die just like that cactus... it only happened ONCE!!! ,and he can't freaking forget that geez but ha ha! I showed him :-P~

This is the reason some of my plants have not survived, see the incriminating evidence the sulky look, the downward gaze and her big nose covered in soil. This picture was taken after she decided that my little cucumber plant must die. How can you stay mad at her though look at that face Baby is afterall a baby I guess that's all she'll ever be, I must learn to be more vigilant in future lest this happens again.

Puppies like avocados. Puppies like avocados?

Well apparently they do ...

I was making myself a sandwich this morning  when I noticed her eyeing my avocado, I gave her a little taste

but she wanted more

apparently it was yummy

and then there was none.

She even wanted to take the rind but i was scared she'd choke on it so I didn't give it to her  

At a snails pace

While I was out taking some pictured of the garden so far i came upon this little guy just lazying around near the artichoke.

Almost as soon as I found the snail Rosie decided she wanted to see what it was and would not let it get very far until she went away.

There it goes on his/her merry way, I decided to let it continue living in the garden just as long as it doesn't get anywhere near the veggies.

These are the pictures of the garden so far the beds still need a little bit of work and mulching around them  the snow peas I hope will do very well they got their first flowers just the other day, but they're huge, and the artichoke gave off  another little baby choke.

FINALLY!! let there be planting

So on Thursday I couldn't take it anymore, some of my plants were starting to turn  yellow from being in too small pots for way too long I had to get some soil.

After  a lot of wheel barrel trips mostly done by Mike (gosh i love that man) the planters were finally full YAY!! Now just need to cover it from little furry critters that love to see what's up with everything and stick their little furry faces & paws in it all.

So this month I've killed with the help of some snails and slugs,asparagus beans

marigolds that were planted  in planter box with old(poor) soil

I grew these in ice cube trays with new soil a little after the ones in the planter

the difference is huge.

The rosemary in the chickens wings both sides died "unexpectedly" ahem.. cough... cough ... 

so all in all not a pretty bad month.  

Now that it seems most of everyones' climates are warm enough to plant Happy gardening !!! and let's hope there aren't anymore casualties in our midsts.
